big news....

so, as the subject line suggests, i have big news: i am getting married!
it all came about in an unusual way. i didn't do the typical thing, fashioning an over-elaborate series of sappy happenings and recollection of shared memories. we just sat down and talked about it and decided that its something we want to do. i know it may sound a bit boring/anti-climactic, but it was cool to really talk about something like this and decide to do it. the whole affair is spread over two days. on friday, october 5th, we are going to have a small ceremony for family and a few close friends, then have a nice, relaxing dinner after. on saturday, october 6th, we will have a huge reception for all of our friends and extended family... its gonna be a rockin' good time.
anywho, we have decided to create a blog for the occasion, so those that want to, can keep up with how things are going.

finally, new word....

so, its been nearly a year since went and saw Radiohead in Chicago. it was a concert full of favorites and, much to my excitement, brand new tunes. but i haven't really heard anything about the phantom new album i was sure was just around the corner last year. that is, until today. i saw this video on a web site i frequent (thanks to Sarah). the audio quality isn't that great and skips around a lot, but hell, its friggin new Radiohead, who cares?
