new family member...

Sarah and i got a little kitty today. she's been wanting one for a while and i had been playing the antagonist for some time. little did she know that i was planning on getting her one for her birthday (which is the 28th... so, it was an early birthday present). he's only 2 1/2 months old, so he's a little firecracker. we decided to call him Colbert (pronounced with a hard "t", like Q-bert), a slight homage to our favorite last-nite political show host. he'll be a nice little addition to our little home.

the new Radiohead CD, In Rainbows, is out today. and in true, groundbreaking fashion Radiohead, currently without a record contract, have released the album for download from this site. what makes this especially groundbreaking is the fact that they have left the price for the album up to us, the individual fan. seriously, when you go to the site to purchase the album via MP3 download, they allow you to put in the price you feel is appropriate to pay... we paid $15 because we want to support Radiohead.

feeling pretty manly...

so, as most of you know, as of friday, i am now a married man. the ceremony and reception went great, it was great to see friends/family i haven't seen in a long while. over the past few days, i have set out to fully integrate myself into Sarah's apartment. its not the biggest place in the world, so we were a bit worried how it would go, but its gone really smoothly (hopefully, it will stay that way as we finish moving me in). so, as a part of me moving in, i took upon myself the duty of changing shower heads (the one that was there before was, in my opinion, horrible... it literally hurt) and putting together a new shoe storage/organizer. surprisingly enough, i successfully accomplished both tasks.... i'd never really done 'housework' before. anyway, i felt pretty manly having done all that last night.
